I hope your summer has been going well. With the Covid-19 virus, we have all had to make changes. The situation in our country this fall looks very uncertain. We will not have a vaccine for the virus until January, and then it will take one year to distribute the vaccine throughout the country. If we all follow the guidelines of social distancing and wearing a mask, the virus will diminish. I want to thank you for being so cooperative about this when we gather for Mass on the weekends.
After a discussion with the staff and some Pastoral Council members, we will be having our annual “Mass on the Grass” on SUNDAY, AUGUST 9th at 10:30 a.m. The parish picnic will follow - please bring your chair, your food, your beverages, and silverware. We will have people sit six feet apart. We will provide napkins and bottled water. This will be a safe way to celebrate the annual outdoor Mass and Picnic. In the event of rain, we will gather in the church for Mass only. We will NOT be able to have our picnic in the Parish Hall due to the COVID restrictions. Let’s hope for great weather!
The live-stream on our Facebook page for the weekend of August 8 & 9 will take place on Saturday, August 8th, at 4:00 p.m. Mass. The change is due to the Mass in the Grass on Sunday, August 9. The Facebook Live will return to Sunday on the 16th at 10:30 a.m. Facebook Live has been a blessing for those who are unable to attend Mass at this time.
Thank you for supporting your parish by mailing in your church offerings. Your church depends upon your financial support each week.
