Many thanks to all who sent cards and gifts!  I appreciate your thoughtfulness and your kindness.  (Thank you to all who helped out with our Christmas liturgies and decorating.)
 
In the vestibule of the church, you will find some prayer cards for our seminarians from the diocese.  You are invited to take one and remember our seminary students in your daily prayer.
 
Happy Holy Family Sunday!  Among the many insights provided about the Holy Family in Matthew's account of the Gospel is that their family life was filled with tensions and unexpected turns.  In this way, the Holy Family is a role model of faith in the face of familial troubles. No parents raising children, the Holy Family included, are free from struggle and pain.  But all parents who raise their children in faith and trust in the Lord have built a home with a strong foundation.  May God bless our families with health, happiness, and peace during the New Year.
