We have received a complaint from one of our neighbors on Copeland Ave. regarding weekend parking on the street. Some cars have partially blocked driveways and the fire hydrant. As a result, I am asking our parishioners NOT to park on Copeland Ave during weekend Masses. We have two parking lots and handicap spaces available for you to park. Cars parked on Copeland also pose a difficulty for emergency vehicles to pass through. The village of Homer will be posting "no parking" signs on the street opposite our church. We want to be good neighbors and comply with parking regulations. I ask you to kindly abide by this new regulation. Many thanks.
HOPE APPEAL 2019. . Our Annual Hope Appeal will begin s this weekend. This annual appeal helps to fund many diocesan programs and ministries, helping thousands of people in our seven county diocese. Our parish goal this year is $26,032. Please prayerfully consider a generous donation to this annual diocesan appeal.
Our Pastoral Council meets on Monday night at 6:30 p.m. Any parishioner is welcome to attend. Our Men's Spirituality Group will meet on SATURDAY, JUNE 1 at 10 a.m.
Our new external defibrillator has been installed in the communication area in the back of our church. Twelve parishioners were trained in the use of this life-saving device. The device is extremely simple to use. We are grateful to one of our parishioners who donated the defibrillator.
NOMINATION FOR MINISTRY. . do you know a parishioner who would be a good lector? Can you think of anyone who may want to join the choir? Can you nominate someone who can help with our funeral luncheons? This is your chance! You can nominate yourself or someone else to serve in a ministry or on a committee in our parish. Nomination forms are on the Baptismal font. You can fill out the form and drop it in the box on the font. I will personally follow up on each "nominee" to invite them to parish service.
