Dear Parishioners, 

Congratulations to our children who are receiving First Eucharist today: John Bishop, Kaitlyn Boylan, Natalie Burns, Joey Congdon, Nolan Hayes and Sean Spalding. You are in our prayers as you continue your faith journey.

The Feast of Ascension Thursday is this week.  Our Mass will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday evening.  Masses at St. Mary's will be 9 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. Thursday.
Our wonderful maintenance man, Robert Palomo, will be leaving us soon!  Robert and his wife Wendy will be moving to Missouri to be near their family members.  Robert has given many hours of service to our church and has worked very well with our committees and parishioners.  We are very sad to see him leave, and we wish him and his family our best.  Once again we will be looking to fill the position of part-time maintenance for our church. The responsibilities include grounds keeping, church cleaning, plowing sidewalks and shoveling stairs in the winter, and church hall cleaning.  The job involves approximately 20 hours per week.  Hours are very flexible.  The job offers a warm, inviting work environment and free coffee !!  For more information please contact Fr. Nomination for ministry.... do you know a parishioner who would be a good lector?  Can you think of anyone who may want to join the choir?  Can you nominate someone to help with funeral luncheons?  This is your chance!  You can nominate yourself or someone else to serve in a ministry or on a committee in our parish.  Nomination forms are on the Baptismal font.  You can fill out the form and drop it in the box on the font.  I will personally follow up on each "nominee" to invite them to parish service.

HOPE APPEAL 2018 .. Our Annual Hope Appeal will begin shortly.  This annual appeal helps to fund many diocesan programs and ministries, helping thousands of people in our seven county diocese.  Our parish goal this year is $25,737.  Next weekend we will show the video at Mass explaining how your donation will help so many people.  Please prayerfully consider a generous donation to this annual diocesan appeal.
