Our Men's Spirituality Group will meet next Saturday at 10 a.m. in the conference room. Any men from the parish are welcome to attend. The meeting begins with social time, then we gather together for prayer. Usually, I show a video from Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM, and we have a lively discussion. We conclude our meeting at 11:30 a.m. New members are always welcome. You can come and just listen or join in with the conversation. Our Women's Spirituality group also meets next Saturday. Their format is very similar to the Men's Group. Deepen your love for God and your search for meaning in life ! Come next Saturday!
Anointing of the Sick - I will be offering the sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick after Mass on SAT. NOV. 23rd. Those who wish to be anointed can sit in the front rows of the church after Mass. Who can receive the Anointing? Anyone who will be having an operation in the near future; anyone who has chronic pain; those who struggle with addictions; those who have compulsive behavior; people who grew up in abusive, dysfunctional families; and people who suffer from depression or other mental challenges. Those who are anointed with the holy oil can expect the following blessings from the Lord: strength to continue to be spiritually healthy; inner peace, knowing that you are right with God and with others; forgiveness of all your sins; healing - spiritual, emotional or physical. May God send his healing love to those who are ill.
And... a reminder - please do not park on Copeland Ave. or at the Cortland Self Storage. Please use our parking lots near the church and on the corner of Copeland and Cortland St. Cars parked on Copeland will inhibit emergency vehicles from coming through.
