Dear Parishioners,

Last Tuesday night we had a beautiful celebration with our Bishop who conferred the sacrament of Confirmation on 30 of our young people.  I want to especially thank Erika Linsdell, our director of Music Ministry, instrumentalists, and the combined choirs.  They put in many hours of practice to prepare for this great liturgy.  I am grateful to our staff, especially Christine Williams, our Faith Formation Director.  Many thanks to all who helped to set up the reception downstairs after Mass, thank you to our catechists, sponsors and, of course, the parents of our newly confirmed young Catholics.  We continue to pray for our young parishioners, that God will help them to choose what is good and right in their lives.
 
Upcoming meetings at your parish:  Pastoral Care Area semi-annual meeting, Tuesday, Oct. 15th, 6:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's in Whitney Point;  Men's and Women's spirituality groups on Saturday, Oct. 19th, 10 a.m.;  Pastoral Council Meeting Monday, Oct. 21, 6:30 p.m.;  and, of course, our annual Harvest Dinner on Wednesday, Oct. 23.  Tickets are available for the dinner after Mass or at the church office.
 
Please note that the church office will be closed on Monday, Oct. 14 in observance of Columbus Day.
