Today, we celebrate the Third Sunday of Advent which is traditionally called Gaudete Sunday. Gaudete inLatinmeansrejoiceDid you know that our church hall can be used by parishioners for family gatherings such as baptismal parties, wedding receptions, rehearsal dinners
Plan ahead....Our Masses for Christmas will be at 4:00 p.m. (usually quite crowded!), 6:00 p.m. (a quieter Mass) and Christmas Day at 10:30 a.m.
This week we switch from St. Mark's gospel to St. John's. People asked John "Who are you?" He replied, "I am the voice of one crying out in the desert. Make straight the way of the Lord." This week, bring others to Christ by what you say and do! . We are joyful because Christmas draws near. St. Paul's letter to the Thessalonians says, "Rejoice always, pray without ceasing." ,etc. Please call the church office if you are interested.
Now that we are in the last month of the calendar year, please consider your parish St. Margaret’s as your end of the year donation that is tax—deductible. Your parish counts on your support 52 weeks out of the year!
